Vegetable oothapam recipe an easy oothapam made with mixed vegetables.
This is a simple oothapam recipe with mized vegetables.Do try this for breakfast or dinner for a change and enjoy.It looks colorful and is a treat for the eyes so kids will surely like it too.
I got this small oothapam a while back and had been using if often so thought o try this vegetable oothapam and share it here.This is best for packing for lunchbox too.
Vegetable oothapam recipe
Ingredients
- Idli dosa batter as needed
- For vegetable mix
- 2 tbsp onion chopped finely
- 2 tbsp capsicum chopped finely
- 1 tbsp tomato chopped finely
- 2 tbsp carrot chopped finely
- 1 no green chilli chopped finely
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
Instructions

To a mixing bowl add all the ingredients listed under 'for vegetable mix'.Mix well and set aside.Get ready with idli dosa batter, the batters should be thick and flowing.

To a dosa pan spread oil sligtly add a laddle full of batter in each hole.Cok for a minute then add the vegetable mix on it.

Cook covered for 2 mins in low medium flame.Flip over and cook for 2 mins.

Press slightly, then flip and serve hot with chutney of your choice.
Notes
- You can make small or big oothapam.For this recipe you can get 8 small oothapams.
- The veggies that are added is purely your preference, but choose veggies that cooks faster as we are adding it raw.
