I have already made white sauce pasta recipe with maida but these as I use wheat flour thought to share this method.There is no major difference in taste so do try and let me know how you liked it.
Penne vegetable white sauce pasta recipe
Penne vegetable white sauce pasta recipe - penne pasta coated with a creamy white sauce prepared using wheat flour along with vegetables and spices.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp butter
- 1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp mixed herbs
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- salt to taste
Veggies:
- 1/4 cup carrot finely chopped
- 1/2 cup beans finely chopped
- 1/4 cup capsicum finely chopped
- 1/4 cup boiled sweet corn
To cook pasta:
- 2.5 cups water
- 1 cup pasta
- salt to taste
For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1.5 tbsp wheat flour
- 1.5 cups milk
- 2 tbsp grated cheese
Instructions

Boil water, add pasta along with salt to taste.Cook until soft yet crunchy to bite.Do not make it mushy.Rinse in cold water, add 1/2 tsp oil toss well and set aside.

Heat 2 tsp butter add garlic saute for a minute, then add all the veggies along with little salt and pepper powder.Saute for 5mins until the veggies turn slight soft.Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

Heat 2 tbsp butter, add wheat flour and whisk well.

Now add milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.Keep stirring until its slightly thick.Now add grated cheese.

Cook in low flame, keep stirring until the sauce coats the laddle.This is the perfect stage add the veggies,cooked pasta along with oregano,mixed herbs and chilli flakes.Add salt if needed.Toss well until nicely coated.

Serve hot!
Notes
- Stir continuously while adding milk to avoid lumps.
- Incase if it stats to form lumps switch off stove for a minute whisk well to break the lumos then switch on and proceed.
