I make granola very rarely as only me and amma are fond of this.We have it as a snack, slowly the kids are liking it too so made a big batch few weeks back and it got over in no time.Do try this for snacks or even for breakfast!Is sure a welcoming change to the routine idli,dosa breakfast

Honey nut granola, homemade baked granola with nuts and honey
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cornflakes
- 1 tbsp raisins
To be baked:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup cornflakes
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup cashews
- 1/4 cup dried apricots
- 1 tbsp dried figs
- 2 tbsp brown/cane sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 tsp cooking oil
- a tiny pinch salt
Instructions

To a mixing bowl add all the ingredients under the list 'to be baked'.Mix well.The mixture will be slightly went and moist.

Preheat oven at 165 deg C for 10 mins.To a baking tray drizzle oil, spread it using a brush.Transfer the mixture to the tray.Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 mins.

After 10 mins give a quick mix.Bake until golden brown.Remove from oven.

Add raisins then crush and add cornflakes when its still hot.Mix well.Cool down completely then store in airtight container.While serving add granola along with chilled or warm milk and Serve!
Notes
- I tried adding raisins while baking but sometimes it gets burnt easily so these days add it finally.
- Cornflakes can be skipped but we love it with that.
