About Moru Curry

Moru Curry tastes great even with just rice and papadam. This moru curry can be made with coconut or without it but this version I am sharing without coconut and veggies.I am becoming a bit inclined towards Kerala cuisine these days…the aroma of coconut in each dish is awesome.

This is a very simple dish that you can make when you don’t have veggies in stock still can enjoy a good meal with papadam.Hubby appreciated this moru curry, so I am planning to make it often and pair it up with a simple spicy curry.

Variations

  • This can be made with or without coconut.
  • If using coconut grind coconut along with green chilli, jeera, make a thick paste and add it along with tempering saute until raw smell leaves, finally add buterrmilk and switch off.
  • You can add veggies like vellarika(cucumber), kumbalanga(ashgourd), kaya(green raw plaintain) etc.
