Jamun mix cookies?! yes you heard it right.I saw these cookies exist while browsing for some recipes and totally forgot about until I saw a pack of jamun mix lying around idle for a long time.So made up my mind to try these and they turned out so so good.Do try it and enjoy, very easy to make and tastes delicious.

Gulab jamun mix cookies recipe

Gulab jamun mix cookies a soft buttery cookie with rose flavor, tastes so good.

  • 1 and 1/2 cups gulab jamun mix
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter (at room temperature)
  • a pinch cardamom powder ((optional))
  • 1/8 tsp rose essence
  • 2 to 3 tbsp milk
  1. To a mixing bowl add jamun mix, powdered sugar and butter.
  2. Add a pinch of cardamom powder and rose essence to it.
  3. Mix well with your finger tips so that it resembles breadcrumbs.Now add milk tbsp by tbsp and gather to forma  dough.For me it took 3 tbsp.
  4. Now using a tbsp measure, scoop out(this is make sure to get equal sized cookies).Take it in your palm, roll it.
  5. Then slightly flatten it.Repeat to finish the dough.Place all the cookies on a baking tray with butter paper laid on it.Using a form slightly press to get those stripe marks.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 180 deg C for 10-12 mins.These cookies will not turn golden on top so don’t get tempted to overbake it.If you check the bottom it will be golden.Cool down then store.
  7. I got around 20 cookies for this measure.

These cookies are mildy sweet, increase sugar to 1/3 cup if you prefer more sweeter cookies.

How to make gulab jamun cookies recipe

  2. Add a pinch of cardamom powder and rose essence to it.

Dangar chutney recipe also called as chettinad korada is a spicy chutney served as sidedish for vella paniyaram.This is sure a great side dish for even idli, dosa etc.

This dangar chutney is tangy and I loved it so much.This chutney is not thin in consistency like other chutneys,as we are not grinding.

Dangar chutney recipe also called as chettinad korada is a spicy chutney served as sidedish for vella paniyaram.

  • 1 tbsp gingelly oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • few curry leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 nos small red chillies
  • 1/2 cup small onion ( chopped roughly)
  • 1/2 tsp jaggery powder
  • 2 tbsp water
  • salt to taste

For tamarind pulp:

  • 1 tsp tamarind
  • 1/4 cup water
  1. Soak tamarind in water, crush well to extract pulp, set aside.Crush garlic roughly.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai – add mustard seeds, let it crackle then add curry leaves let it splutter.Add crushed garlic and red chillies saute for a minute then add small onion along with salt.Saute till it becomes golden in color.
  3. Strain and add tamarind pulp along with little water let it boil and cook until its thick and saucy.
  4. Finally add jaggery powder, give a quick mix and switch off.
  • The spice level is a bit high for us, if you feel so reduce 4 to 3 red chillies.
  • Adding jaggery powder balances the taste, so don’t skip it.

I sauted some finely grated beetroot in a tsp of ghee for few mins. Add it to curd rice and mix well. Now attractive curd rice is done. Curd rice itself has not much nutrients so addition of beetroot makes it more colorful and healthy.

Kuzhambu milagai thool recipe a multipurpose chilli powder that you can use for sambar,gravies,curries and all nonveg dishes.Kuzhambu podi recipe with step by step pictures.

I got this recipe from my neighbor long back, noted down in my inbox and totally forgot about it.Recently when I was conversing with her through phone(as she has moved to another city), I was again reminded of this kuzhambu podi.When she was here,we used to exchange food and many times she mentioned about this kuzhambu podi which was very new to me so immediately asked for the recipe, she inturn got it from her mother and gave me.Finally after 2 years I get to try this, the aroma itself is so good.

 

Kuzhambu milagai tool recipe

Kuzhambu milagai tool recipe a multipurpose powder can be used to make sambar, kuzhambu or any gravies, curries and nonveg dishes too.

  • 2 cups red chillies
  • 1 cup coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp toor dal
  • 1 tbsp jeera
  • 1 tbsp pepper corns
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 2 tbsp curry leaves
  1. Dry roast red chillies until heated up, don’t need to change color.Set aside.Now add coriander seeds and roast until browned slightly, set aside.Now add jeera and roast till browned, set aside.
  2. Dry roast until pepper pops,Set aside. Roast toor dal until golden,Set aside.Now add fenugreek seeds roast for a minute then set aside.
  3. Finally add curry leaves and roast till its slightly browned.Make sure to wash it, dry then roast.Now cool down all the ingredients completely then transfer to a mixer jar.
  4. Grind to a fine powder, slightly coarse would be good too as it will be more flavorful.

How to make Kuzhambu milagai thool recipe

Cheese capsicum sandwich recipe a quick and easy sandwich to make for breakfast.The filling is so quick to make, no cooking required and the sandwich is really cheesy and yummy, do try it and enjoy!

Usually I make some cooked filling for sandwiches as all of us are not fan of raw veggies in sandwiches, but this is an exception tasted so good.I used the grill option in my sandwich maker, if you don’t own a sandwich maker then toast in dosa tawa until crisp and enjoy!

Capsicum cheese sandwich recipe very easy and quick to make and tastes soo good.

  • 1/4 cup capsicum
  • 1 tbsp onion
  • 1/4 tsp crushed pepper
  • 1/4 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1/4 tsp pizza seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cube cheese
  • butter as needed
  1. To a  bowl add capsicum,onion and crushed pepper.
  2. Add mixed herbs,pizza seasoning and required salt.
  3. Add half of cheese and give a quick mix.Take 4 bread slices, add the capsicum cheese mixture in each slice.
  4. Add remaining cheese on top.Seal with other bread.Press slightly.
  5. Add mixed herbs,pizza seasoning and required salt.Apply butter on top.Preheat sandwich maker as per the instructions in the manual,Grease it well with butter.
  6. Keep the bread slices on it. Close and Grill it for 3 mins or until the top turns golden.Slice and serve.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup.
