Aval nanachathu recipe, Sweet aval with jaggery, Inippu aval

Aval nanachathu recipe a quick no cook version of sweet aval with jaggery.

Aval nanachathu recipe with step by step pictures and video.Sweet aval recipe with jaggery, Aval nanachathu or Inippu aval called by different names this is a very quick no cook version of sweet aval made for Gokulashtami.

I have already posted sweet aval recipe but this is a no cook version so comes handy when you haven’t planned anything well ahead.

Amma makes this as back from school snack and I soo love it.She makes balls and serves with milk. You can try this quick snack and enjoy!

Why my sweet poha is soggy?

  • If you have soaked poha for long it becomes mushy and soggy after all the ingredients are added.
  • Make sure to soak only for a short time and drain water completely.

Variations:

  • You can replace white poha with red poha too.
  • Instead of powdered jaggery, you can add cane sugar or white sugar too.
  • You can even make small balls and serve.
  • You can also make with milk, add just 2 to 3 tbsp and serve it.

  • Mix it well.Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you use thick poha soak for 2-3 mins rinse well then use it.
  • I used thin poha so by the times I rinse it became soft.
  • Serve with fresh grated coconut.
  • Add a pinch of salt to lift up the sweetness.
