Aval karupatti ladoo recipe

Aval karupatti ladoo recipe a healthy and tasty ladoo for Gokulashtami.

  • 1 cup poha (thick)
  • 3 to 4 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp cashews broken
  • a pinch cardamom powder

To make syrup:

  • 1/3 cup palm jaggery
  • 1/4 cup water
  1. Dry roast poha until crisp, break and see if it breaks easily then its done.Switch off, set aside to cool down.Heat palm jaggery along with water in a sauce pan.Let it dissolve and let the syrup slightly thicken.
  2. If you touch between your fingers, it should be sticky.Set aside to cool.Heat ghee in a tadka pan – add cashews and fry until golden brown, set aside.Now take poha in a mixer jar.
  3. Powder it fine and transfer to mixing bowl.Strain and add syrup.Now add cashews along with ghee.
  4. Mix well first then shape them as ladoos.Cool down then store.
  • If the syrup is not warm then shaping will be tough it will not hold together so make sure to have the syrup warm.Else heat up slightly to warm it up.
  • No consistency needs to be checked – the syrup should be slightly thick and sticky.

How to make poha palm jaggery ladoo
