Tea is one of the common and popular Indian beverage. I always love tea for evenings and ginger tea is my most favorite. Ginger itself is a natural remedy for digestive, cold and cough problems. In addition adding crushed pepper, tulsi leaves will prevent from cold and cough often.
I like tea with milk when compared to black tea. In fact I like tea with fully milk as we use cows milk its already watery and its perfect to add it as such.

How to make best adrak chai?
Brewing the perfect cup of tea comes by experience. During my earlier days I always end up adding more milk or more water, the boil was not enough so on and so forth. But after few trials and learnings got the knack to make perfect tea. Over the years what I have learnt is making the tea concotion perfect and boiling for the right time is the key to making tea perfectly. Therefore stick to the measures and tips given here for making ginger tea.
Variations:
- You can make ginger tea with or without milk. Feel free to skip milk and have it as black tea.
- For vegan option skip milk and replace it with almond milk or soya milk or cashew milk.
- Furthermore add more spices like cloves and cinnamon for a more strong flavour like masala chai.
- For winter season you can add tulsi leaves to this tea. It gives a soothing feel also prevents from catching cold often.
Serving Suggestion:
- Serve adrak chai with any tea time snack especially any deep fried crispy snack such as samosa, vada would be apt with ginger tea.

- Add milk only after the tea concotion is boiled well.
- I have added 1:1 water:milk ratio but feel free to adjust according to your preference.
- I wanted ginger flavour to be dominant so added cardamom as such. But if you like you can crush cardamom and add it.
