Aloo makhana recipe a quick snack made for navratri vrat
- 1/2 cup boiled potatoes
- 1 cup makhana
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- rock salt to taste
- 1 tsp mint leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
To temper:
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp green chilli (finely chopped)
Spice powders:
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/8 tsp roasted jeera powder
- 1/4 tsp anarathana powder ((pomegranate seeds powder))
- Heat ghee, add makhana and roast till its golden and crisp.Break to check if its crispy.Set aside.
- Heat oil – add jeera,green chillies let it splutter then add boiled potatoes along with chilli, anarthana and roasted jeera powder and salt.Mix well and roast for a minute.
- Now add roasted makhana and give a toss.Add mint and coriander leaves mix well and switch off.
- Serve hot or warm!
